Blackwood River and Forest Nannup

Located only 12kms from the scenic town of Nannup, Blackwood River Cottages are nestled on the banks of the Blackwood River and surrounded by tall timbered forests. 

With three cottages on the picturesque 40 acre property, guests will experience the peace and serenity of their secluded cottage setting. 

Nature abounds on the property!  Each evening dozens of kangaroos come on to the property and gather around the lake and cottages to feed.  Cottage guests may occasionally experience a nightly visit from the local possums as they run along the verandahs and the verandah rails.  Resident frogs will also entertain with their nightly chorus!

Bird lovers are rewarded with sightings of a wide variety of bird life throughout the year.  The property's lake provides a habitat breeding ground for a wide variety of ducks and water fowl as well as the long necked tortoise. 

The property also offers easy access to a wide section of the scenic Blackwood River and guests can take advantage of our on-site canoeing (see our Canoeing page for more details).
